CMOs are saying that the current economic crisis is leading them to shift their priorities. Two major themes are emerging. First is the need for greater accountability. Second is the need for a better method to manage brands across multiple platforms.

This will be the most challenging year for marketing since the Great Depression of the 1930s. With the old methods and models of branding no longer effective, it is time to turn the lens of innovation onto marketing itself.
